Yosemite is rather far but definitely worth the drive. The Distance is roughly 313 miles (5-6 hours) from the Los Angeles Area.
Take the I-5 north (or I-405 north to the I-5) to Highway 99 north to Highway 41 north (Fresno) into Yosemite National Park. From there enter and follow all signs that indicate where to go.
